As summer comes to an end, VCO is looking ahead to an exciting autumn programme. In this edition, the Board shares an update on developments within the association, and we provide an overview of the events and initiatives planned for the coming months. We also highlight key topics in compliance, integrity and ESG.
On 17 September, the Financial Economic Crime Expert Group will host the English-language webinar Artificial Intelligence in Financial Crime Compliance, exploring how AI is being applied in areas such as KYC, transaction monitoring, fraud prevention and compliance, as well as the opportunities and challenges organisations face.
On 24 September, the Behaviour & Culture Expert Group celebrates its tenth anniversary with the conference ‘In Verbinding’ (In Connection), focusing on culture, polarisation, reporting climate and integrity within organisations.
You can also register for the FEC conference ‘Ready for 2027: FEC-proof in Europe’s new AML landscape’ on 18 November, where experts will discuss the impact of AMLR and AMLA on the future of financial crime compliance in Europe.
In addition, the ESG Expert Group provides an update on new European anti-greenwashing rules and explains why substantiating sustainability claims is becoming increasingly important.
