National Compliance Award

The “Nederlands Compliance Instituut” transfers election National Compliance Award to the Association of Compliance Professionals (VCO).

On April 23, the National Compliance Award will be presented to the person or organization that has made a special contribution to the field of compliance and the professionalization of the compliance function in particular. Last year, the VCO was the proud winner of the National Compliance Award. The NCI has decided to discontinue the Award after 25 years. In doing so, the idea arose to transfer this election to the VCO. This is where we came out together!

The Netherlands Compliance Institute has facilitated the National Compliance Award since 2004 with the goal of stimulating developments in the field and further professionalizing the compliance function. Director Ruud van der Mast: “In the 25 years of our existence, the compliance profession has grown into such a mature field that we feel the presentation of an award is more fitting for the independent Professional Association the VCO, than for the Compliance Institute as a trainer/consultant in this sector.

The form and content will be considered by the VCO in the coming months. We are looking for members who would like to participate in this! If you are interested in participating in thinking about the new elections, sign up at voorzitter@vco.nl. ‘For the Association of Compliance Professionals (‘VCO’), this is a logical activity in further professionalizing and strengthening the themes of Ethics, Integrity and Compliance within Organizations in the private and public sector. It also contributes to further strengthening the Profession,’ said Chair Michelle Fisser.
